Anyone on Week 2? Looking for an online buddy or some chat with someone who is at the same point as me?
I’m doing in part for health reasons as I’m waiting for a kidney transplant. Doing most of the actual runs with my partner, unfortunately he finds them very easy and is naturally fit!

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
It is crucial if you run with another person that the pace is the easy conversational pace of the slower runner. Going faster will not develop your aerobic base as effectively.
Hi MerlinonMull. Good on you preparing to make yourself as healthy as possible before your transplant. The fitter you are the quicker your recovery will be. I had a transplant 2.5 years ago and honestly the transformation it has made to my life is incredible. I actually wouldn’t have been able to run before my transplant so that’s great that you’re up to it. Just go at your own pace. After my transplant we were plunged into lockdown and ended up having to shield. I had been building my stamina by walking so I got myself a treadmill and started this programme. It was the best decision I could have made. Anything you want to know then please just ask. All the best to you. Your life is going to change beyond your wildest dreams. 👍👍👍
