I’m about to do my W7R3 and so far I’ve been really enjoying it. But I’m now struggling with plantar fasciitis. I went to a running shop and bought special fitted running shoes, I’ve also got insoles and I stretch before and after every run. Apart from this issue I’ve been really proud (& surprised) at my progress and I feel ready for the next challenge … does anyone have any tips / experience as to how I can help this issue whilst continuing to run? On my rest days I do try and rest (apart from walking my dogs) and I’ve been taking Ibruprofen. Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you

Thankfully I've never had plantar fasciiitis but of those I know who have, all had to rest until it cleared up. Each case is different, though, so probably best to speak to an expert. But if it were me, I'd quit running until you have...
When I felt PF coming on I bought Birkenstocks and have worn them ever since, as house shoes. Don't know that it works for everyone but it worked for me. Feet hurt for the 1st 2 weeks so I broke them in gently but I've had no problem since. Specialist insoles would do same, I think but I agree with others here - best to see a specialist.
Hi, thanks for your response. Good idea about the Birkenstocks, I know that when I walk barefoot on my tiled floors, it’s a lot more painful. I will definitely see a specialist, but I’m just so frustrated as I was really enjoying my runs… hopefully I won’t have to be off my feet for too long!
