Has anyone had this issue. I bought new phone and lost all record of Couch to 5k. I actually finished in June last year and used it to do repeat 30 minute runs

Looks like I'll have to start from beginning...

You can set it running while you do something else.

It doesn't actually track you.

It's a pain feel like I'm cheating...but I have done it last year

If you just want to time a thirty minute run, then you are not cheating anyone.

Assuming that you have been running all along, otherwise it might be wisest to start again, as many of us have had to do.

Yeah weekly I was doing 4× 30 min runs...

There are other ways of timing a straight run.

What do you suggest?

Hi Nikeygirl , if you want timing plus a record of your runs, then the free version of an app like Strava, Mapmy run or Runkeeper should be fine.

If you want timing alone then I can't see why you'd need anything more than an ordinary wristwatch or the clock on your mobile, unless I've missed something?

Of course, if you've not run for a while, it would be a good idea to do as IannodaTruffe says and go back to an earlier stage of C25K.

Happy running!

It's a bit tedious, but you can fast forward through each run to show them as complete until you get whete uou want yo be... 😉

I thought I’d always use C25K but now I’ve found I like Strava much better.

I think I'll look into Strava..I did like hearing the bell at half time with C25k and knowing I had 5 mins left..Thank you for your recommendation..

If you liked the halfway bell, you could use the Nike Run Club app; I use it as well as Strava. Their Quickstart runs can be set for time or distance and it tells you when you're halfway through. You can also pick Guided runs (also have timed or distance based runs) where coaches chat to you at intervals (not for everyone but I love them)

Hi, I sound crazy but I run with two phones. One with my Couch to 5k app, and one with Strava (run tracking app) and my music. I found having everything one one phone used to make my phone battery run out mid run, and send me into a blind panic. On the second phone, it’s an old one that I had lying around, and doesn’t have a SIM card. I therefore don’t record or save my runs on the couch to 5 k app - I save those on Strava and that way I can see if I have run the same distance or same times as previous runs. Hope this helps!

I use Strava, and as I have a Samsung phone I use Samsung health app to set times (you get a halfway notification), also it has some facilities for different coached runs which I occasionally do.
