Well, it's been a few weeks, what with Christmas tree related foot injuries and a horrible cough and cold that I couldn't shake (but not covid, the PCR test was negative).

This morning was my first outing with a local c25k running group ( MY first, but the second week of the course, thank you non-covid bugs🙄).

We gathered on a cold muddy playing field, wearing more layers than I'm used to for running - but I did manage to shed one layer once I warmed up 🏝️ ( kept the woolly hat on though, which only goes on if my ears are in danger of dropping off from frostbite🥶)

It involved lots of silly games to stretch us and warm us up, then the usual run-walk you expect in week 2, then a good stretch to finish. All good fun, and my foot held up really well - and so did my dodgy hip! I couldn't quite believe how muddy my shoes were at the end. I cleaned off the worst before I went home, this is the cleaned up version - still a bit of work to do I suspect🤔

Nice shoes grumpyoldgirl, that was a very good workout you had, a sort of what we call "a bootcamp" glad you enjoyed it, I am so happy to know that your foot and dodgy hip didn't cause any further problems.

Thanks Al, I'm not fond of cold and muddy, so I've given myself a pat on the back just for turning up 😁Of course, it was fun once we got started!

What a great result, no foot and hip issues after that. Mud encrusted shoes a bonus 😁😁

(whispers - I'm hoping the mud will dry and I can just knock it off🤞 - so lazy 😁)
