NHS c25k volume problems

I've started the course again after a number of injuries (ankle, muscle strains, broken toe). I usually listen to music or a podcast, and previously when the coach in the app speaks, tge music or podcast volume reduced. However, I downloaded Denise Lewis coach this morning and now when she speaks my music volume doesn't decrease and I can't hear what she is saying. Does anyone have any ideas ? Thanks

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Your problems with volume are quite common. A deletion and reinstallation of the app seems to work for some people. Huawei phones seem particularly prone to this. There may be other workarounds and I am sure someone will pop up to help.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Congratulations on restarting C25K, I hope from now on you will be injury free, when doing the course with music it should quieten down while your coach speaks, if not you will have to put the music off, I would uninstall the app then reinstall it, hopefully, after that the music or whatever you listen to will fade a bit while your coach speaks.

Hi, I've tried reinstalling and the problem still persists. I've never had this problem in the past.

There is a setting in the app that lets you adjust the volume the coach speaks at, if you haven't already tried that

Hi, I've found that but the music or podcast used to decrease in volume wen the coach spoke.

I just tried the app on my phone and the sound levels are not working for me either!

Are you using an Android phone? If so, the developers said on Google Play recently that they are working on the problem and are asking people to contact them on pheapps@flipsidegroup.com with details about the problems you are having.
