Well, after getting a job with silly hours back in 2019 I kinda let my running go, apart from one 5k back in October last year, which nearly killed me! And I didn’t run again! Until yesterday, when I decided to go back to week 5, run 1 of C25K, not going to lie, it was still tough but I’m not feeling like death today 😂 so let’s hope I manage to carry on with the running this year, even though I’m still doing silly hours! Wish me luck! 🤪

Welcome back...slow and steady, is the way. Maybe too..pop into Catch-Up Corner...where lots of new C25K runners and, a whole lot of repeaters share their experiences.Lots of support there and lots of folk to keep you on track!

Well done, coming back in at week 5! Hope the silly hours don't stop your running again :)

Welcome back.

Many of us have had to redo C25K and in my opinion you would be wise to start earlier in the programme, considering the length of your break.

We are all capable of doing way more than our bodies are conditioned to do, but not without increasing our injury risk. Sticking to gently progressive training plans is the safest way to push our limits, whilst gently increasing our resistance to injury.

Injury often strikes out of the blue and can stop you for days, weeks or even months.

Take care.
