Completed the W1R3 last night. I found it more difficult than the previous ones. Not sure if it is because I chose to 'run' on grass. Ended up with very sore legs but they were fine this morning
Can I do the week 2 ? I will give it a go and see.
I am not a online forums person, but all your posts are so supportive, I hope it will help me complete the programme, one run at a time.

Thank you instructor57 & nowster. I was just reading the FAQs and realised the additional factor could have been not enough hydration. I generally dont drink much water, from now on will have to remind myself to hydrate throughout the day.
Hey, you've done the hard bit, getting started. I can't speak for everyone but, I know exactly how you feel and I'm sure many others felt it too. I just kept telling myself "I'll give it a go" I really didn't think I'd get past week 3! I started in May, graduated in July and I'm still running at least 3 times a week. Have faith in the programme and yourself, You can do this, you can definitely do this! 🙂👍
Thank u for the encouragement. I am thinking of registering for parkruns too to stay motivated. Will do it following the podcast as part of my 3runs for the week. That's the plan anyway
Stretching immediately after every run, nhs.uk/live-well/exercise/h... while muscles are still warm and supple, pulls out contractions, avoiding carrying tensions into the next run and also improves recovery by improving blood flow, as recommended in the guide to the plan.
Many people do not hold their stretches for long enough or put enough effort in. Hold post run stretches for 30 seconds and make sure the pull is strong enough to be on the verge of discomfort.
