I'm definitely finding it a bit easier now - less sore when I'm finished, taking less time to recover, less purple in the face! I've been sleeping a lot better this week as well which is wonderful.
I think I've caught the running bug though - I'm actually looking forward to it which I never thought would happen in a million years. I'm making sure to take my rest days but I find myself getting antsy to do another run. The feeling of achievement and the rush of endorphins is amazing!
I'm not going to lie, it is daunting when I think about starting week 2 but I just keep telling myself that I felt that same before I started week 1 and I managed to do that so I need to believe in myself a bit more.

Great job. Fitness and strength are kicking in, that’s evident in you finding it easier. So, even if week 2 starts as hard as the first run on week 1, there are only 5 intervals... I found that so much easier to count down from 😂. You’ve done really well, enjoy week 2.
Admittedly I do watch the clock more than I probably should counting down to when I can walk again but seeing I only have 2 more running sections to go is enough to keep me going when I'm struggling.
I've been reading some posts and Week 5 seems to be a bit of a turning point for a lot of people. I do struggle with psyching myself out a lot I just need to get out of the frame of mind that I can't do it!
I do a little check when I feel I need to stop - can I still breathe and can my legs still move? If you can say yes to both you can still run. And if you say no to either of those, slow right down! And that seems to shut the gremlins up for a while!
Excellent advice! I always find that if I reach the halfway mark I can tell myself 'might as well finish now' and the second half is much easier so it's a good motivation getting that little bell in the middle!
Well done! I know exactly how you feel having just completed w4 r1 I never in a million years thought I could run for 5 mins right up until I did it last night. Keep going!
