W4 run3 going to do again

That was hard, going to do this week again, Christmas dinner and alcohol on the horizon and hopefully a week away. I feel my stamina waning at the last 5 minute run. . I feel I cannot go on to wk 5 run until I have cracked wk4. I know I should believe in the program. I know I am not ready for the next week, although I do want to get to week 12 but maybe not in twelve weeks. Merry Christmas 🎅 everyone.

If I told you that overall, every W5 workout is actually shorter than the W4 workouts, would that change your mind?

Read this breakdown of W5 healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and relax.

Can you speak aloud, clear, ungasping sentences as you run?.........if not, you are going too fast.

If you run too fast it is tough.

You can do this..............if you want to.

Hi angiepoole , of course you can do W4R3 again if you want to. However, if you've completed week 4, you don't need to in order to go on to week 5.

You don't have to "crack" a run or find it easy, it's normal for your stamina to wane when you get to the end of a run. Completing week 4 means you're physically ready for week 5. Getting your head round that might, however, prove more challenging.

Btw, the NHS C25K programme is 9 weeks, not 12! Believe in yourself, and happy running!

Hey week 4 really is longer and hard work, repeat and go slower and week 5 will be a breeze after that. This running thing should be fun but also hard work, the results are amazing, Havea lovely Christmas

I did wk 4 as slow As possible as I found it hard, I will try wk 5 however I find running for 5 minutes hard . It’s not my legs aching,I know that so many people have done this, so I will be able. 🎄 merry Christmas 🎅

Repeating will either go better, worse or pretty much the same so it is moot what useful information it will give you. Either you sustained a running motion throughout the running sections and a walking movement throughout the walking sections, however slow, however much you felt your lungs were bursting or your legs were heavy, or you didn't. If it is the former, then you *are* ready to move on and your mind is talking the familiar codswallop we've all heard before.

If you didn't, then yes, you do need to give that run another go, slower.

You don't have to believe anything... leave all that baggage at home, you'll be lighter.

Thousands of us know.

I did wk5 r1 last night. On belly full of Thai take away, which I regretted little. 1 m less running than wk4! You can do it! I'm looking forward to giving r2 a go!

Hi there. Just to say I felt at the end of every week during c25k that I was at my absolute limit, but every week I moved on and was able to just about manage the next week. If you really feel that you want to repeat that's fine -you are in control of this. That's why I think it is so good, But, for what it's worth my advice would be:

Have faith in the program!
