Well this will be my longest period without a run since graduating. Manage to run last Monday and then started with a cough sore throat headache, thankfully not COVID done LFT almost daily felt so rough. Better yesterday, even better today and planned to give it a go tomorrow, but, the snow has arrived. Not risking slipping/turning an ankle so will have to wait for a few more days. Hope everyone is ok and the weather isn’t being too unkind to you.
First set back: Well this will be my longest... - Couch to 5K
First set back
Life, weather, illness and a thousand other things can get in the way of our running, but if you keep posting here we will keep you running.......... when you can fit it in.
Take care.
It happens like that sometimes Poppdog and it’s sensible not to push things - hopefully you’ll feel better soon and the weather will be perfect for your next run!
I had a 7 day absence from running this last week or so, due to the weather. In the end I was so desperate to run that I did my first afternoon run on Friday. It was a bit harder than the run the Friday before, so I'll try to avoid such a long break again - However - getting it done felt great!
Definitely no running in the snow/ice for me either. Hoping it's gone by tomorrow 🤞
I'm just coming out the other side of COVID then super flu back-to-back Poppdog and didn't run for 5 weeks. I was very pleasantly surprised at how little condition I had lost when I returned to the gym a week ago and am almost back to pre-grot fitness after just 3 runs.
Stay off the ice - you don't want to get injured! If there aren't any gyms nearby or you just cannot entertain a treadmill, wait a few more days - you won't lose any condition but you will stay safe 😃👍😃
Poor you. There are a lot of people feeling under the weather at the moment. Hope you feel better soon.
