Iβve accomplished a few notable events in my life, which I have to say, has had its ups and downs but itβs been a happy one nonetheless.
I passed my driving test (4th attempt)
Gave birth to and raised my 3 children
Admitted I was an alcholic, sought help, and have been sober 24 years and counting
Then I decided I needed to get fit and healthy before I reach pensioner status in a few short months and stumbled upon C25K. Life changer. Each week my βCAN I, WILL Iβ changed to βI CAN, I HAVEβ.
And blow me down, I have just completed my GRADUATION πββοΈ. How cool is thatπ₯³
It was just me, my trusted treadmill and Denise (she always had faith in my abilities π far more than I ever did to begin with) as the family are all away doing their own things this weekend.
I would be so very happy if you would grab your drink of choice and a slice of cake, (biscuit, chocolate or whatever) and join in my celebrations. Iβm so damned proud of my achievement I could burst.
Thank-you my fellow runners (I can call myself a runner now, yes?) for posting your stories on this forum. The excellent tips, support, inspiration and motivation is truly wonderful and has helped me immensely these past 8 weeks.
Onwards and upwards ~ a new challenge for me is waiting in the wings and Iβm ready.

Iannoda Truffe, sorry, it appears I didn't press 'reply' correctly when I responded to your reply.A lot of my success is down to your most inspirational posts. The time you must have taken to write and all the links you provided, priceless π. I have been back and forth, reading and re-reading them almost on a daily basis since I found Health unlocked.
I have my future plan now. I will keep running πββοΈ and I most certainly will keep smiling π.

Hi Rennur, I put my heart and soul into my C25K journey and, fortunately for me, everything worked out well. I'm looking forward to finding out where my journey takes me, so who knows. π
Well done! I shocked myself by graduating at age 66; it feels great doesnβt it? Definitely time for celebration, and then reflection on where you want to go next. I chose extending distance and joining park runs and staying with 3 runs per week as often as possible. But, we are all differentβ¦.enjoy the moment. ππππππππ
Thankyouπ Beachcomber66. When I decided do this a couple of months ago I thought I'd just give it a try and if I don't like it, I've lost nothing. Never did I expect to enjoy it, but I doπ. Who knows where this journey will lead, I'm excited to find out thoughπ
Well done! Itβs such a proud moment isnβt it? And yes, you ARE a runner ! Toasting you with a cup of coffee before I go out to do my weekly 5k run . Keep going, itβs addictive in a good way!
