Iβve accomplished a few notable events in my life, which I have to say, has had its ups and downs but itβs been a happy one nonetheless.
I passed my driving test (4th attempt)
Gave birth to and raised my 3 children
Admitted I was an alcholic, sought help, and have been sober 24 years and counting
Then I decided I needed to get fit and healthy before I reach pensioner status in a few short months and stumbled upon C25K. Life changer. Each week my βCAN I, WILL Iβ changed to βI CAN, I HAVEβ.
And blow me down, I have just completed my GRADUATION πββοΈ. How cool is thatπ₯³
It was just me, my trusted treadmill and Denise (she always had faith in my abilities π far more than I ever did to begin with) as the family are all away doing their own things this weekend.
I would be so very happy if you would grab your drink of choice and a slice of cake, (biscuit, chocolate or whatever) and join in my celebrations. Iβm so damned proud of my achievement I could burst.
Thank-you my fellow runners (I can call myself a runner now, yes?) for posting your stories on this forum. The excellent tips, support, inspiration and motivation is truly wonderful and has helped me immensely these past 8 weeks.
Onwards and upwards ~ a new challenge for me is waiting in the wings and Iβm ready.
