2021 500 mile challenge.

I started the c25k in 2019 in my early 60's. completed that and moved upward to a few 10k's through 2020. A target was needed to maintain my motivation for 2021, hence a run total of 500 miles was selected. I broke that barrier in early November and now wanted a 2022 motivational target. I have registered to take part in two half marathons next year. The first in March, the second in May, and still hope to gain access to the great north run later in the year in September. Sadly I can no longer claim to be early 60's and have to settle for mid 60's. I still gain great enjoyment in planning and guiding routes for other run groups and individuals. Without some form of target or purpose, I doubt I could maintain the motivation to keep running.

Is that since the start of this year? Well done!

A lady at my local parkrun (Chadderton, near Oldham) was celebrating doing 1000 miles last weekend.

Yes, 500 miles since January this year. 2020, 10km runs and until 2019 hadn't even run to catch a bus.
