Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 6, you are now OFFICIALLY a RUNNER, onwards and upwards to week 7 which are all 3 /25 minute runs, not long now until you graduate. 😊 πŸƒπŸΎ

I am AlMorr.....I am a runner πŸƒβ€β™€οΈ. And for my next 25 minute run, my son is coming with me. He's fast...5k in 17 minutes (ex marine) but he says he'll walkπŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ πŸ˜‚

That’s my next run. Will be out early to do it tomorrow. Before work. Looking forward to the challenge.

Slow and steady Brian, I'm a 🐌 but I'd rather be a 🐌 than struggle. It was though, surprisingly exhilarating, especially when Laura said only 1 minute left and I think I woke the neighbourhood when she said "that's it". Wishing you all the best for your run, you will smash it.

I LOVE slow and steady :)

Well done. No more walk breaks from this point on.

All there is left to do is to gradually extend the time you're running. Week 7 is consolidating what you've already achieved, and weeks 8 and 9 provide that little bit of extra stretching.

Looking well ahead, just as week 7 keeps you at 25 minutes, after graduation you're best advised to keep at 30 minutes maximum for a few weeks. Most of your rapid progress over the last few weeks has been in developing and training muscles. The other parts of your legs don't adapt quite as quickly. A new runner can easily get injured by doing too much too soon.

Hi nowster. I'm like the 🐌. Even in 25 minutes I barely cover 2.5K but that's fine by me. Just knowing I can and want to do this is enough for me. But, if I can keep running and maybe get to 5K by April next year that will be the icing on my birthday cake πŸŽ‚ 😊

Speed isn't what we're about here. Just being active for 20+ minutes three times a week will do wonders for your general health.

I did do 5km in 30mins on my graduation run. I also injured my ankle with a sprain on both sides of the same foot. One star, would not recommend.

It's amazing isn't it!? I still look back and think about how I was worried about moving from 60 secs to 90 secs in week 2!

I amazed myself RunDone. Not in my wildest dreams when I decided to give this a go did I think I would get to this point. But there's so much inspiration on this forum, it set me up to succeed. I'm hooked....I always look forward to my next session.

Yes - me too. That's the thing that surprised me most: I expected it to be a chore, but actually, I really enjoy it and as soon as one run is done, I'm looking forward to the next!
