Completed week 7 and I’m really pleased! I read the posts on this forum and they are so encouraging, it helps me a lot. I feel I’m too slow and have doubts that I can keep going but then I see so many posts saying similar things too.

Week 7 done
Well done you.
The most effective pace at which to build your aerobic base, which will enable you to run further and faster, eventually, is one at which you can speak aloud clear ungasping sentences.........faster is not better.
Thanks for your encouragement as it makes such a difference. As yet I can't run and talk but I'll keep pressing on and I will get there!
Slow down. If you cannot speak aloud clear ungasping sentences as you run, then very simply you are running too fast for your current fitness level.
Your body will not be getting a sufficient supply of oxygen to help your body adapt and develop.
It doesn't matter if you can walk faster. If you want to optimise your development you need to be able to speak as you run.
Sounds like you are doing just fine ! Slow is good 😁👍
Well done on getting to week 7, slow and steady is the mantra slogan here on C25K, onwards and upwards, not long now until you graduate. 😊 🏃🏾
Well Done, If you haven't read this post already you will find all the useful detail and links. healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
Too slow, lol
I'm following you, since you're 8 years older than me!! 😄👋
OK, so you've run a marathon...I knew there was something goin' on!!
Hi, I'm 63 today and started C25K recently. I'm on week 3 and having some knee pain so we have some things in common. I'm going to start the knee strengthening exercises on the C25K app in the hope that they will help. 😃
Good to hear that you've got C25K underway and we definitely have some things in common. I'm going to try to get out shortly although the bd weather is putting me off 😀
