Hi everyone I’m new to the group. I’ve never ran before in my life however having heard so many good things about C25K I think I will give it a go. I do have one question though can you do this on a treadmill or do you have to run outdoors? Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum !You can do the program on the treadmill OR outside .
Whatever is best for you !
Also, have a read of the program guide as it's full of usefull information to help you through the program .

Enjoy the program!
You can do either, the initial stages are all interval training so there is a bit of walking / running so will need to adjust the speed a few times but other than that fine. Good luck!

Good luck with the programme and welcome to this forum! As Instructor57 said, you can do either, there are no rules!
I started the programme on a treadmill and then moved outside around week 5 and run exclusively outside now. So mixing it up a bit might be good. You might find running outside gives you the benefit of fresh air and having more to distract you.
Happy running!

I did it all on my treadmill - I tried running outside a couple of times but found it harder on my knees.

Many of us here did the whole program on a treadmill - I did. And I continue to use a treadmill for 30% of my runs, 6 years later
If you feel more comfortable on a treadmill, go for it. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have about treadmill running

It's just down to personal preference I think. I started in January 2020 outside, and have continued outside. I only resort to a treadmill when the weather is too bad (icy pavements, etc.) & I find it desperately boring, but others swear by them. Just find something that suits you - the key thing is that you enjoy it so that you'll want to stick with it. Happy running, whatever you decide!
