WK 2 Done!

It's official - I've lapped everyone on the sofa.

Week 2 Run 3 completed :) Still feeling great and no aches or pains from starting this new exercise (used to at home YouTube workouts/Zumba/Hooping).

I must admit I am a little nervous at the leap up in Week 3 to longer length runs and pace will be trial and error. Still, there's no rush, I can keep redoing the week until I crack it!

Roll on next week (or I might try and get a sneaky run in on the weekend!)

Current mood = awesome!

Go on try that sneaky weekend run, as long as you've rest days why not 👍

It's helpful to focus on the TOTAL amount of running time, NOT the length of individual bits.

So, Week 1 was 8x 1 = 8 minutes of running each outing (3 times in the week = 24 minutes in the week)

Week 2 was 6x 1.5 mins = 9 minutes each outing (27 minutes in the week)

Week 3 is 1.5, 3, 1.5, 3 mins = 9 minutes again :-)

Your fitness accumulates with every run that you do. Your body is now ready and prepped for Week 3, from the accumulated fitness from Weeks 1 and 2.

Thanks John for that breakdown, it seems a lot less scary now 😀 It's that 'twice as far' fear I guess that made me nervous but you've totally put it into perspective.

Can't wait to try! If at first I don't succeed, try and try again!

That's a great positive attitude! Keep it up :-)

So you'll actually be running for 9 (NINE!) minutes ... just broken down into small manageable chunks :-)

You’ve got this a weekend off is nice but if you’ve had your rest day and the mood takes you go for a run and enjoy

Just completed run 2 of week 2 myself and feeling the burn (I am not fit at all!)

I’ve just finished week 3 this morning. It really was ok, take it slowly and you can do it!
