Brilliant! Love the gremlin thwacker Reminds me my mum used to have one of those on the wall of our "front room" when I was a kid 😁Will be keeping a lookout for your post tomorrow morning.

May involve an aqueduct Dianne πŸ€“πŸ‘

The shillelagh is quite humane no long lasting effects, just a slight concussion 🀣

Oh yes the Aqueduct. 😁 Will just have to go back next year so I can conquer that on a run. It has to be done!

β€’ in reply toBirdlady64

There's mumblings that Llangollen may get a park run, wouldn't be think the aqueduct would be on route though as it's too popular with walkers

Ooh interesting... Holiday parkrun. Mind you I still have to brave my local one in the woods where I did all of c25kMy plan was to "do" the Aqueduct first thing in the morning hopefully before all the walkers were out. Such an amazing place to run you have on your doorstep

β€’ in reply toBirdlady64

It's definitely a surreal run experience Dianne,

I did my early c25k runs down by horse shoe falls

So beautiful there and along to Llantysilio church

β€’ in reply toBirdlady64

We may well be national park status next time you come holidaying, as it's apparently still in the offing πŸ€“

It seems that the Dwyfor and Arfon regions of Gwynedd have nixed parkruns for the moment. I'd like to try doing Hafan Pwllheli at least once.

I'll be volunteering for the first time at Chadderton Hall parkrun the day before the City of Manchester 10k. (It seemed prudent not to run the day before, and there was coincidentally an appeal for volunteers.)

Have a great run ! Those Gremlins won't stand a chance against that shillelagh 😁

Only the stubborn ones will be coming back for seconds Ian πŸ’ͺ

Have a good run! The weather's definitely not friendly to runners at this time of year. (Thunderstorms and tornadoes in this region today.)

β€’ in reply tonowster

That's the plan, a healthy tailwind is permissible but I'm not up for dodging wandering wheelie bins and branches πŸ‘

I’m prepping myself for a Thursday run also!! It’s more of a mind game for me as I get anxious going out but I love it when I get going! Good luck to you sir!

Oh that looks lovely! I’ve got a nice quiet cycle path to run along but it’s not as nice as that! Go for it!!

I did it and really enjoyed it! But I was pretty stressed out about certain things so I went too fast at the start as I was itching to get my stress out! But the second half after I slowed down was a real joy :-)

β€’ in reply toPymander10

Kudos and congratulations Pymander10 you sound like you owned that run, and brought it back under control, brilliant!! πŸ‘ Remember that pacing, it's not racing 🦸. I used to recite my name and address and random sentences to ensure I was running at a conversational pace. But whatever works for you then give it a whirl,

Keep on with it you'll be chuffed when that 9weeks final run has arrived

Thank you! I hope yours went the same! Doing a run today so fuelling up with water! Ah that’s a good idea I sometimes sing along to music to make sure I’m going the right pace!
