W9R1 The devil got in my head..

I knew this run was going to be a tough run mentally and had prepared for it, chose my route and podcast . So did my stretches by the car and started my walk .. Podcast going , the Enfield Poltergeist ...So the brain was wafted to a different place as I walked under the shelter of the dark trees.. Then I started the run and my devil took over.... No we are not going that way , we are going the route you have been dreaming of going , let's go and I did as devil said!!! I had been avoiding that way as it has hills, no major but they are there ... But what a pleasant run it was and it did the trick of distraction , thank you devil ! I was struggling at the very end but I did it .. I shall run the devil's route again next time ... Unless devil has other ideas !

Wohoooo🥳Just caught up on your runs this week and for once that cheeky little devil was on your side. This is brilliant.

I do look forward to seeing where it takes you next😂

When I started running I discovered hills I never knew existed, even though I've been living in the same town for thirty years!

I never find distraction much help when I'm running, except for music. Letting my brain wander just allows the gremlins in. I find it best to stay in the run and stay focused. Good luck x

You probably discovered those hills because when walking or driving they don't look like hills... it's only when running that you discover that they're actually mountains 🤣

Well done Mrsrun. I too just competed run 1 of week 9. Feels really good. I’m like you and changed my route a bit last minute.

It definitely helps take your mind off the run. I added a little extra bit mid run, as I hate making up the extra bit at the end.

Well done to you.

See you at graduation. X

Well done to you as well... I sometimes think a change of route keeps the ole grey cells occupied as the legs keep going.Enjoy your next run. We are nearly there !
