After @IannodaTruffe’s advice on running slowly, I decided to treat this more as a recovery run, so set off extra, extra slowly. I almost achieved negative splits. It still amazes me that my fast and slow paces aren’t that much different though.
It’s taken me days to do the write up because I had no signal, then I forgot. I have to work harder at the beginning of the week, so tend to do most of my runs mid to end of the week. Time for another run very soon… Could someone turn the sun back on now please? I’m solar powered.

It’s so hard to slow down when you’re used to fast running! I’ve mastered how to go slow on the treadmill but tried running outside yesterday and exhausted myself after a couple of minutes as was running too fast! *facepalm*
😅😂Fast running? 🤣I’m still a snail, but learning to put slow, easy miles on the legs rather than hurried, gasping miles. Great that you ran outside. Well done. The first of many outdoor runs I hope.
