Well today I definitely needed the advice of the "Wise ones" within this forum. After running W8R2 like an athlete (well in my mind anyway?), I was made to pay today.
Today's run was probably my slowest to date, the legs were still suffering from Wednesdays run, but thankfully and slowly I completed week 8!!!! ๐๐ป๐ฅ
The longer runs will take more toll on a body not yet conditioned for this amount of running. Your body is letting you know it needs more time to recover. Heed this to avoid injuries.
Easy answer: take at least an extra days rest between runs as/when you need to. Don't be afraid of losing fitness.
Week 8 was hard work for me, because I, was running too fast, but if you just keep to your conversational pace you will be fine and your body will still adapt nicely at that pace.
