After a hiatus of a few months I restarted Coach to 5k a few weeks ago. I’ve just completed Week 5 Run 3 for the first time - 20 minutes of non-stop jogging. Really happy with myself! I remember a few weeks ago 90 sec of running was a stretch. I’ve definitely learnt to slow down the pace. In training for a charity Race for Life 5K so I’ve got a target to make this time which helps.

Week 5 Run 3 done
You are well onto your way to doing a 5k . Mind I personally will not be capable of running a 5k in 30 minutes after finishing week nine as many people are not. But the hope for me and slow runners like me I guess is to be able to just keep running and reach 5k at our speed. Good luck for your charity 5k .
Well done.Stay nice and slow for W6R1..........it catches out more people than any other run in the programme.
Well done completing week 5 👍As mentioned, stay slow for week 6 run 1
I am so pleased that you have 'cracked' the W5R3. Many find it rather daunting, but you have now done it, and we all respect you for that. As Ian says, be wary of W6R1 - it seems a b ig step back after what you have just done, but it really does seem to catch out many. Slowly and steady wins the day.As for your RfL - try not to get hung-up on the 5K bit of C25K. Only about 10-15% of graduates do run 5K in 30 mins at the end. The time running is FAR more important, and if I remember from when my wife did a RfL, the time isn't of any consequence, so just complete this C25K course and then go at a speed that is comfortable for you when you do the RfL. Many will whizz off, others will walk. It doesn't matter. What is important is that you take care, and that you enjoy it.
Good luck with W6R1and with the following runs. The graduate badge will be yours so soon.
