It is crazy to think that my mind feels defeated before I start running, yet, I have been able to come this far in the process!!

Every week, I have been saying the same thing, this is my limit, yet, my body proves me wrong every single week, and I am now moving into week 8!

These next two weeks, I won't let Lolita "my inner voice" tell me what we can't do!!!

Happy running everyone!!!

Well done, keep going.

Perhaps this post about mental approach might help healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

You CAN do it.

I think you need to buy a suitcase and pack Lolita off on holiday until they behave themselves and then let them back in your head. I have a filing cabinet in my head that negative thoughts are shut away in...Enjoy week 8 , you have worked for it! Your body can do so much more than you think.

The mind games. I'm starting to think it's 60% of running. I've been running for 2,5 years now and each run I forget I find the start hard. The gremlins tell me to stop etc but I usually manage to tell them to get lost.

You can do it, you have done it! Keep at it :-)

Thank you so much for sharing this!!! Knowing, that despite the fact that you already have over 2 years under your belt, you still feel that at the start, it is very reassuring!! I am going to give myself permission to feel like in my first 5 minutes!!!

Despite doing a regular weekly run of well over an hour, I sometimes have the feeling as I'm heading out the house that I won't be able to do it. I've found it helps to tell myself that I'm going to go at a nice, easy, pace.
