It's funny how doing the 20m run changes your perception. I practically skipped through this session. By now I know the burn in my calves at 3 mins will pass after another min. The 8 min run did tire me a little but knowing I'd managed 20 last week enabled me to shrug it off. I even had enough energy to speed up in the last 2.5 mins and feel like a proper runner! Goes to show how much of it is psychological!

Brilliant to hear that. Thanks for sharing. I will be doing that run on Mon or Tuesday. Seems weird to be going back to shorter runs with walking in between. Guess there's a good reason for it. Enjoy week 6!! 😊👍

Hey CressidaB, Just finished w6r3 and really loved it. I think you'll find it fairly easy. Since I think of you as my running buddy, 😊, I thought I'd let you know that I'm considering going back to a slow build-up so that my 10 year old can join me a couple of times a week. A bit gutted that it means 7 wks to graduation instead of 3 weeks but I figure it's worth the delay to be able to spend time running with my daughter. I'll miss corresponding with someone who's running through the same stage as me though! X

Aw, that's really sweet Post-op-jogger - that you think of me as your running buddy!! I will miss us comparing notes on our runs, although I hope we stay in touch. So glad you get to run with your daughter, and I bet going back in the programme pays off in making you a fitter, stronger runner. Good luck with it and enjoy time with your daughter. I do w6r2 tomorrow. Hasta la vista 😊 X
