After my wobbles on week 4 last week when I struggled the whole week and couldn't finish run 3, I took the advice of insructor57 and everyone else and didn't go out again until I felt properly better. So I had a break on Sunday and Monday and repeated run 3 this morning, taking it nice and gently. Oh my goodness did I see the difference. Instead of dragging myself round the route, my energy was back and no pain in my shin. I was like a different person. It wasn't a total breeze but it was a hundred times easier than my run on Saturday which was horrible. This felt (relatively) easy. I'm totally new to running so all of this is a learning experience and learning I am! I think what I have learned is the importance of listening to my body, not being afraid to take the rest and recovery time I need, acceptance that there will be struggles and they are not the end of the world, being kind to myself and not giving up! And I'm not going to repeat week 4 as I was thinking last week, I think its enough to have repeated run 3 today, and hopefully I'll be okay to move on to week 5 in my next run this Thursday. Can't thank evreyone enough for all the support.
