30 minutes ✅

Was really looking forward to today’s run in the cooler weather. After completing 28 comfortable minutes on Thursday, I decided I couldn’t wait any longer and today was going to be the day I did 30 minutes!

A good run with my legs and breathing feeling good and a slightly quicker pace than my last few too. Didn’t actually really feel like i’d done much more than the other day, and before I knew it the 30 minutes was up! Was hot and sweaty by the end but the cool air felt so good compared to the very hot and sticky air I experienced Thursday.

The plan now is to consolidate at 30 minutes, before starting to increase again. I’ve seen a plan on one of the couch to 5K threads (can’t remember which one but I saved the photo!) where you do one 20 minute run, one at 30 minutes and the third run slowly increasing. This is the plan after I have consolidated 🤞🏼

Hopefully a 5K isn’t too far away.

Time: 30:03, Distance: 4.40km, Av. Pace: 6’49”

girlsjustwannarun I think you are referring to the 60 minutes magic plan on the Bridge to 10K forum.

Very few people can run 5K in 30 minutes straight away, it took me a while.

Good luck on your journey

It’s called ‘consolidation club: 5K time plan’ - I have no idea where I found it but it looks good!

I had a quicker pace when completing couch to 5K last year however I feel like I have found a good comfortable pace for now which I know will improve on it’s own so not too worried about that!

Thank you!
