Best laid plans.....

The day of my W6R3 arrived and I was a bit hungover. But that was OK I had absolutely agreed with myself to repeat R2 so I only had to run for 10 mins, (yes I know twice but its the non stops that bother me) and off I went. It was the perfect temperature and when the voice said I'd done 5 mins I was genuinely surprised, then she said 12 and a half mins and I thought that's half way I cld probably do 15, that's a nice neat number. Ended up doing 25 mins and feeling better than I did after the W5 20 min run.

Observations:

This is the first time I haven't eaten before a run.

I thought I'd slowed down - tho my km/h was 6, the same as every other run.

My breathing was better than any previous run.

So I know whats coming nxt week (Im one of those that always looks to see!!) and Im really hoping they go as well as this one.

Good luck everyone - esp week 6 ers.

Well Done, Sounds a great run and you notice your body is adapting.I normally don't eat before I run and when I do I follow the advice and not run for at least 2 hours afterwards as your body is busy digesting your meal.

I wouldn't get too hung up on stats at this stage, you are progressing to running for 30 minutes non stop.

I never eat before I run, I always used get a stitch even if I waited two or three hours so now I tend to run some time between getting up and lunchtime and just don’t eat until I have, works much better for me!

I remember wk5r3 feeling like it nearly killed me and being convinced that I’d reached my limit. As there were breaks again in w6, I persevered but was certain I couldn’t do 25 straight. I thought; “Well I’ll have a go anyway” and not only I did I do it, I was amazed at how easy I found it, compared to my hideous 20min slog.

It just got better and better after that and I’m sure it will for you.

Well done!👍

Thanks, yes that’s just how I felt about the 20 then the 25 mins. Weird. Yes hoping it continues!!
