Since graduating I’ve had a few poor runs, I put it down to eating beforehand and hot weather. However I had another poor run a few days ago where I’d prepped diet wise a lot better, today I managed 1.5 miles before I noticed I was starting to burp a lot and quite quickly my stomach became bloated, I think this is what’s hampered me all along, some days I’m ok, others I can’t manage a mile or 2.
I do suffer from IBS but not that badly, and I do get a lot of acid reflux generally, so I’m fairly certain this has to be related, so in a way I’ve got an answer just need to go to the docs now.
Having said that, does anybody else suffer from stomach bloating/ burping during a run, is this common, is there any advice as to how I cud maybe prepare differently beforehand or what I could do during the run to alleviate it ?
