Week 6 run 3 done - 25minutes non stop and so pleased to achieve this :)

Just wanted to share my success that I have now completed week 6 run 3 - and achieving the 25 minutes non stop run. Not bad for an overweight, type1 diabetic with arthritis in her 40's!

I changed my route which worked well too as I normally go off piste and do a bit of trail running but knowing I had to do 25 minutes (and it was warm) I kept to the flatter pavements and paths. I even tackled a hill which was quite an achievement too.

Feeling ready to tackle week 7 and I cannot believe I have got this far! Such an awesome programme!

So brilliant to hear your update - well done! I'm on week 4 and can't imagine doing a run like that at the moment, but trying to trust the program! Good idea to think of a different route too, I tend to stick to the same one without thinking about it. Great progress! 👍🏼

Thank you 😊

Well done to you as well D25K - week 4 is not that far behind and it is challenging each run (well it has been for me). Defo trust the programme tho. It does work. I never imagined I wld be able to run (or a slow jog rather) for a consistent 25mins but here I am doing it and I do love it too. May not so much at the time but afterwards I feel great which motivates me for the next one.

Yes I changed my plan of my route as it was later in the evening (about 8.30pm) what with the arrival of the gorgeous sun and heat now daytime, I didn’t really fancy running across fields so late. It worked well for me and I may just stick to this route for the time being as it’s flatter (rather than negotiating across the fields) and sightly easier. I can always do the fields again when I’m more comfortable.

Just keep moving and stick with it. It’s so worth it 👍 x

Thank you for your encouragement @Scrambled_Legs 😊 Just read your bio too - you have done so brilliantly! So glad you are enjoying your running and other activities and that it is having positive effects 👍🏼 Looking forward to w4r3 whenever I do it - 2nd Covid jab today so I'll see how I feel tomorrow!

PS How do I mention people? @ didn't seem to work? 🤔

Re the @ button - did you start to type the name in after hitting the @? Thats when you will get a list of names underneath and then you can highlight the name you want? x

Thank you ☺️ exercise is such a mental game changer, its a medicine in itself.

Hope your covid jab goes ok too today and no grotty side affects.

There's no hurry to get the runs done despite wanting to.

Good luck and keep us posted along the way x

Hi Scrambled_Legs @, well done for completing W6 and running outside as well. I did W6 R2 today, have been on the treadmill since the gyms opened again in April. I definitely find running indoors is easier. I think that once you’ got the 20 min run from W5 under your belt, there is more of a mental attitude. Looking forward to W6R3😊Good luck for WK7🏃‍♀️

Thank you Pink4eva & super well done with your completion of W6 R2 as well. I think you’re right about the W5 20min run as well .

Good luck to you as well with the next runs.

I won’t be doing the start of W7 until the weekend as I do strength training too. Today was pretty full on (did a PB of 70kg deadlifts 😳) and I can proper feel it in my back and legs so am resting from that as I also have more of the same Thursday. I aim to do my next run Sat which allows the rest as well and hopefully feel charged to do the next instalments x

Well done 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 My friend and I will be doing week 6 run 2 today, feeling more positive about the 3rd run this week as we managed the 20 minute run 😊

Good luck with it - go get it and you know you can do the 20mins and this certainly (mentally) helped me to know I can do it too 👍
