Soooo pleased. Week 6 run 3. 4km run

I am feeling so pleased. After lacking motivation for the start of this week I completed run 3 tonight. I ran 4km in the 25 mins. I got the horrid hill out of the way at the start and really enjoyed the rest of the run. Feeling quite excited now about the fact I might actually complete this programme

Wow that's a good distance, I'm W8 and still not making 4k so good effort.

Keep going the finish line is in sight :)

Hi, firstly well done on your run, I know exactly how you feel, it's such a buzz :-) I too am anxious and excited that I might actually complete this programme :-) Just read your comment and am curious as to how you measure your distance??? Do you have another app running alongside C25K?? I will be doing W6R2 today and would be keen to know how to measure the distance I am covering? (being the techno whizz that I am.... NOT :-) !!! )

Hi Dee60 I use my iPod nano to calculate the distance. I put in that I'm doing 5k and it tells me when I have 1k,2,k,2.5 k done etc. it's quite good as it can give u the boost .

Other apps will work on your phone like map my run etc

Hi Dee. Doesn't it feel great to have progressed to this stage. At week 1 I was counting down the seconds in my head for each minute run to be over. I'm still a little stunned I managed 25 mins. I am using the map my run app as well as the C25k. Last night was the first I used it. Good luck with run 3.

Hi, thanks for your replies, prompt as ever :-) :-) :-) I will have a go and see if I can use another app alongside the c25k podcast (which I have now managed to download to my phone once again despite having previous problems attempting to do so!) :-)

Dee - if I'm running outside, once I'm home I plot my route into GB Mapometer (Google it and it's free to use) so I can calculate my run lengths on that.

Hope this helps :)

That's a brilliant time, I still can't do that and I've graduated! Stick with it, you're sure to complete! Not long now .

Awesome run THP - I can only get to 3.2km in the 25 mins!!! Not long to graduation now ... Keep it up :)

Thank you all. I still get a little buzz when I think about the fact that I did it. I never imagined I would get this far. If I ever manage the 5k I shall be cracking open the champers
