I ran (or jogged)β¦slowly for 20 minutes but didnβt stop..not once. The feeling of achieving this was so amazing it still hasnβt left me.
Donβt get me wrong I did find it challenging at times as I had been strength training earlier that day but I just wanted to get this run done.
So pleased πππ
This week is week 6 and got to say I am actually looking forward to my next run. Today is a definite rest day and maybe even tomorrow but will see how I feel π
Good luck to you all on your journeys x

Congratulations on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran ππΎ
I do love scrambled eggs can you tell π especially after my lunch break runs. Been having 3 eggs too these days to help with increasing my protein πͺ

I hear you. Long after I'd graduated, I still felt proudest of my w5r3. Even now, a year and several HMs later, I still feel pumped that I managed w5r3.
Congratulations, and I hope you have plenty more fun milestones to make you feel like this.
I think I may have the running bug which is an absolute surprise. I love the freedom of just being able to take off (albeit slowly at the moment) and that sense of achievement once complete.
It has challenged me a lot mentally as I was extremely negative that I could even do thisβ¦but here I am πβ¦and there I go ππ»ββοΈ
It really is an amazing milestone given you start with running for 1 minute and it feels like itβs going to kill you π to suddenly running 20mins and feeling great!
I have got a bit stuck with motivation having got to the end of week three and then repeating the last run again but your post has motivated me to get out there. I've been putting off week four but today I'm going to go for it!
Hi Doofas....awww this is lovely to hear. We do all have those days though, myself included.
It is a challenge for the body and mind.
I had a few runs early on that I had to re do and honestly I felt totally deflated that I was unable to do them...however.....
After a day of recovery each time I then attempted the run again and succeeded which I think is the driver to continuing. I guess as the phrase goes that there's no success without hard work. I reminded myself of the very first run and how far I have come which spurred me on to continue.
Go for it and I bet you will do it π The feeling you will get from completing it will help to spur you on for the next run too. If you don't do it though, there's no rush, no time scale and in either case, it will prepare you better for the next time.
Well done - know the feeling well!!!! I as so happy that you (and I) made it this far...as AlMorr said - week 6 run 1 caught me out as it was less than the week 5 run 3 - but it seemed a bit harder - I have yet to discover why.... keep it up!!
Well done to you too and thank you for the heads up...depending on how my work day goes, I may find myself doing the run later today as I already need an excuse to get out!
