I commented on a post here last week about a lady getting caught up with some dog walkers, told her to smile be friendly with everyone. Today I totally failed to do so! The pavement just wasn't wide enough for two fat ladies, two toddlers, pushchairs and moi (a very novice runner). I decided to jog in the gutter to get round them, misjudged the kerb and ended up on all fours in the road.
I think a couple of bystanders may have asked if i was ok, but AC/DC was busy telling me 'it's a long way to the top', and I was so keen to regain my momentum and concentration that I didn't think to give a thumbs-up or OK sign. Hauled myself up and carried on without a backward glance. Bit rude but nevermind.
It was the first of the two 3 min runs on Week 3 Run 1, which I'd been really nervous about but it was fine and the second 3 min bit was completed with no further ado so I was happy, if a bit sore, when I got home. Savlon and plaster applied to skinned knee, all will be good for R2 on Wednesday.
