Soooooo, something came over me yesterday and I actually couldn't wait to get back out. No hesitation after work, even though legs were a but achey, I figured I would try anyway.
I set off with week 6 run 2 playing. It was lovely reminder of the encouragement the coach gives you and I was wondering how many of their tips I have forgotten.... π€
I got to 10 mins and again didn't feel ready to walk, sooooooI carried on... all the way to 18 minutes. I came to a hill so chose to walk all of it rather than start again half way up it- imagine that?!? NO. Especially not on comeback run 2!!
I walked for, I think 5 mins and then ran the last bit... about 4.
I remembered on the last strength about the 10% improvement per week... and given that I couldn't feel my left foot, decided to be sensible.
Next run I will be loosening laces.
All in all, happy with myself π

Hello Zo, π great to see you back on the forum again, well done on your comeback run, sounds a good one, nice to read that youβre enjoying getting back into your running again ππββοΈ
Yes, this was second time out (as you probably gathered π) pleasing to see I've not stepped back right to the beginning. Just going to work on extending the time of that first part of each run.... is the plan right now.
Hope that you are doing OK. How is your running going? Still storming it, no doubt π€
Iβm doing ok Zo, Iβm signed up for the Virtual Vitality 10,000 at the end of May as are a few of the other lovely people on here. Iβm temporarily back in Wales, π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώwhich is great, but has lots of hills ! Iβm fully recovered from Tom Jones syndrome though (see previous posts) so all good π
Hope TT60 is doing ok, would be lovely to have you both back on here.
Looking forward to reading the continuing story of your comeback πͺπ»πββοΈ
Hi Zoe Iβm back too after a four month lay-off. I started at w1r1 and have now just finished week 5. Iβm enjoying my running again and seem to be able to run a whole load faster. Iβm looking forward to reading more comeback run reports. Itβs good to see you. ππ
Hey!! Good to see you too! And glad you are back. It's great that we have not lost our abilities, brilliant to hear that you are running faster this time π amazing!!
Apart from your tight laces that was a good run and a little walk for you today Zoe, I am glad that you enjoyed it and you are back on the forum, well done. ππΎ π.
