I think I need a kick up the a*se... completed run 1 of week 8 but haven’t run for a week and fear I’ve fallen off the wagon! Lots of things on my mind which running the programme has helped with in past weeks but I can’t seem to get out the door this time and I have no idea why and I’m so close to the finish! Help greatly appreciated!!!!

Here's a kick up the a** from me🤣Please don't give up... You are so close..

it does take a lot of willpower especially if you've missed a couple of runs,

once you get out that door you will be so glad you did..!!

Say to yourself.. I can run.. I can graduate..I can be a runner 🙏

Look forward to your post letting us know you got out and overcame your blip 🏅👏👏👏

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

Use it or lose it. The health benefits of running are wide ranging and can put you in the best possible physical shape to deal with critical illness should it strike out of the blue........as cancer did in my case.

Don't take your health for granted.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.

Welcome to the forum.

It's only a week. You'll still have the same level of fitness.

Just get out and do it. If you stop before the end of the 28 minutes, treat it as a Week 7 run, and continue with that week.

Don't forget that you don't need to be fast to complete C25K, you just need to be moving for the set amount of time at whatever speed is comfortable to you. There are some people here who run slower than I walk. That's fine. We're all different. Don't compare yourself with others.

Consider this a firm kick up the bum. 🤣

Don’t give up! You have come this far! You can do it! Tomorrow is a new day. We all have times when we have to push ourselves out ! I had to do that this morning, but I’m always glad that I did! 😀
