I don’t know why but I’ve totally lost my mojo since graduation.
Consolidation one -okay did my 30mins
Consolidation two- Change of route, after work( normally run in the morning), found it hard going could only manage 20mins!
Consolidation three- Back to usual route,
Evening run, wearing my new all singing or dancing running jacket!!! Total fail, too hot, felt like I was having a heart attack 10mins in 🥵🤢, slowed my pace, jacket off to try and cool down, whilst still running. Got to 20min felt like I could of done more but I stopped!! Thought sod it!
Feeling defeated and sad!!

Everyone loses their way sometimes and needs to take a step back and reconsolidate. You did this for a reason. You achieved. Think back to then and the reasons why you started this journey. Ditch the jacket. It's far too hot for that. Pick a cool time of the day and do a nice easy run at a nice easy pace and build again from there. Every run is a winner even if you don't finish. It's better than sitting on the couch. I'm on week 4 run 3 and facing week 5 next week. It's gonna be really hot but I'll plan on running at the right time of day. I've got my head around it and failure is not gonna be an option. Think positive and get out there and do it 😀👍
I honestly think the weather’s just sapping everyone’s energy! It’s either really humid or too hot! Please don’t be so hard in yourself, there are lots of similar posts (including me) all over the forum just now. We’re not bulletproof. I’m just having a break for a couple of days. 😊👍🏃♀️🐢
Same here , did about 3 weeks consolidation runs then for various reasons, weather too hot ( I like to run in the mornings) , sudden back problem, I haven’t run for almost 3 wks and have completely lost what little motivation I had. Probably doesn’t help that I still find it really hard and don’t really enjoy running, just finishing the run 😂
I could have written your post ( apart from the back problem) . I’ll try and motivate myself to get out there over the weekend. I hope we both get going again and reach the point of gaining some enjoyment from It . Onwards and upwards. 😄
I also struggle. When I first went through the programme, it took a few weeks after graduation to get to the point where I was enjoying the actual running. I've just completed the plan for the second time this morning and I'm looking forward to getting to that point again. If you are having aches and pains, you may need to look at your running technique and/ or shoes, plus loads of stretching. I'm also doing the nhs stretch and flex programme, which I think has helped. Good luck with the rest of your C25K journey 👍
