This is the 3rd time I’ve tried c25k, never previously got past week 5, so happy I’m now further, w6 was tough and w7 continues to be tough, I’m so motivated to do it but starting to worry about my mid 50’s knees. Played football all my life and knees always been good, I’m not in pain but they are clicking a bit and I get a few aches for days after a run, I’ve cut the runs down to two per week, should I be looking to get some sort of knee support or is this normal ?, I’m using a treadmill btw

Well done on your progress.
Knee pain is common for new runners and is primarily caused by the impact on legs that are not well enough developed to cope with it.
Follow the advice in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.
Clicking is not necessarily a problem and is caused by gas bubbles in synovial fluids.
