I’m not long back now from W7R1, and I’m delighted to have it done, no needing to stop or anything, and didn’t get a stitch.
Something occurred to me today, I seem to have 2 strides; one is slow-slow, and I could walk as fast, or maybe even faster, and it’s fine. It does sometimes feel like a little more work though.
Then the stride I love and love when I fall into absentmindedly (but can’t maintain the whole time) is a bit faster but it feels easier or like it’s the right rhythm for me.
Does anyone else feel this or am I imagining things? I used to run rather than jog, but couldn’t maintain distance/time as easily as these current paces.
Anyway, I love this forum. Reading all your posts motivate me so very much. You’re all so welcoming , helpful, and inspiring so thank you! 😊

Hey - glad to hear you managed to get through the run stitch free. Do you think your breathing was better on this run? I think just completing the runs at this stage is the main thing (lasting the 25 minutes) and pace will improve with our conditioning.
No - just completed R2 of W7. I'm struggling with sore ankles so took two days rest between R1&2. The run was good today but I'm still suffering afterwards - I may have to take more rest days which is really disappointing as I'm raring to go - is your next run today too?
I did indeed have my R2 yesterday, around lunchtime!
All went well, got a bit bored actually, and then my earphones stopped working so for about 8 minutes I’d nothing to do or listen to except run. It was nice too though!
I've completed C25K twice now. .on my third 😂( illness and injuries in between )
But yes I get what you are saying...totally
Once you get into the longer runs I felt that hard slog burning in my legs thinking I can't go on much longer. .then all of a sudden I'm breezing it smiling thinking this is amazing I'm flying (snails pace really ) this seems to alternate through a run over 20 mins. .
Yep! Definitely find slow slow very difficult. Love going just a tad faster just can’t keep it up for the whole run. I’m working in keeping my back straight and raising my knees, using my arms. Thinking about my posture helps me a lot. I know I’m tired when I realise I’m slouching a bit.
