About to start week 5. Having never run before this programme I don’t know how I am going to be able to run for 20 mins on run 3?! Is it really possible?

Yes it is really possible regarding run 3 of week 5, the program has prepared you for that run, take it slowly, once you have completed it you will be very proud of yourself, good luck.

It actually is! I was amazed when I did it. Totally thought it was impossible as it was such a big leap from previous weeks. But the programme does prepare you for it. I’m in week 9 now and still can’t believe I can now do 30!! Take it easy and you should be fine. Good luck!

Relax.

This breakdown of W5 may help allay your fears healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Panic ye not! Every run you've done so far has brought you to this 20 minute run. Just take it slow and steady and you'll be surprised at how it works. Then your biggest worry will be how to get rid of the mile wide grin on your face :D Have faith in the programme, it works! x

"Is it really possible?"

No.

Might you be the FIRST of many millions on the planet who've tried?

Can you set the example and lead us to the promised land of 3x 30 minutes of jogging in Week 9?

No-one - NOT A SINGLE HUMAN BEING who's tried C25K has done it yet.

Of course it's possible 😂Infact the training time on week 5 run 3 is actually 1 minute less then that of run 2 if you look at the timings 😁

Totally possible! I understand your trepidation, but you have been preparing for this run up until now. Channel lots of +++ and be amazed. Oh, and go really, really slowly. 👍👍👍

This must be the most frequently asked question on this forum.

You ran for 16 minutes during each session of Week 4 even though you might not have realised that. Twenty minutes isn't that much more.

Yes it is.. look up MY post under my name and you will be entertained on such a question. Trust your building foundation that you have been laying down with this program and you will be surprised.

Iv just completed week 5 run 3 something I would have never thought I would have achieved. I remember being so unfit when I did week 1 lol, now I feel stronger. The first 2 runs on week 5 ease your into the 20 min run for run 3. Don’t fear it and just take it slow. You will do it.

It’s absolutely possible! I completed W5R3 last week after listening to the great advice about slowing right down which has really worked and I’m now enjoying my runs so much more.
