Well I’ve completed W8 R1 outside! First run outside and it was good. Ran much faster than I do on the treadmill so it’s all good progress. I was nervous about running outside but my hubbie came with me which was a big help. He’s a running (ex-triathlete etc. ) so I think he struggled to run so slowly!! 🙈🤣 but just for anyone who is worried about it go for it! It is harder but I’ll be heading outside again for my future runs unless the weather is awful!! 😊

I’m glad to read this post as I have been doing the course at home on the treadmill too and I am so nervous about going outside I think I might not be able to. I’m worried about finding a route that’s flat enough and think It’ll be harder on the road than the treadmill! 🙈 Also thinking I may need to invest in better running shoes for the roads. I’ve only just finished week 4 last night. I did the c25k before but after running one park run after graduation I gave up! That was 3 years ago and determined not to give up this time but it’s harder as I am so much more unfit this time round.
Yes definitely find somewhere flat! I’m sure you will be fine! I have never run before starting this programme and really didn’t think it would be possible but I ran 28 mins outside!!! Just unbelievable! I was not fit at all so if i can do it anyone can! I wish I’d tried outside before now! 😊 go for it!! You can do it!!
