Today's my first runniversary and I'm on the IC! I tried so hard not to get injured, but at my age - 66 - I guess you just don't know what your bod can take. But I am so PROUD to have achieved what I have. I got to 60 mins on the time magic plan and intended to do the distance plan cos I felt like I could get to 10k then this niggly groiny thingy started so I have physio appointment later this week. I've struggled with mojo and rejoiced when I regained it! I've loved running in the dark, the rain, with the sea pounding and waves crashing, canal side, countryside, hillside, beach side, fartleks, intervals, and of course Coach Bennett π. It's been AWESOME and this forum is truly AMAZING. Big π€ to you all x

Congratulations and well done on getting to 60 minutes of running! πππ
It is so hard to have a set back when you love running so much. I was following the same plan as you, the time plan to 60 then move to distance as I have entered a virtual 10 k race in June. However, first I tripped and fell on a walk that set me back, then I started running again and pushed my distance to 6 k and suffered hip pain that has niggled for a week. I hate not running, but am being sensible and waiting until the pain has gone. At our age we have to be careful, but still it is frustrating!
Hope you get your hip problem sorted out soon
Thanks Newbie59! Hope you get your issues sorted too! I'm looking forward to summer 10ks π
Congratulations on your runniversary such a pity that you are on the IC but I reckon it's all part of the running game. It's a great post I can feel your love of running in your words. I hope the physio gets you sorted, I'm sure you'll come back stronger and more determined.
I know exactly how frustrating this can be. The day before my anniversary of starting C25K (for the first time) I tweaked my ankle enough that I knew I mustn't run for several days.
Best of luck with the physio visit.
