One year ago today I started my running journey with Couch to 5k! I’ve not had the easiest of journeys and while many at this stage are already onto park runs and 10kms... I’m not. But you know what, that doesn’t stop me loving this place, all of you on here and simply being able to get out there and run when I can! Thanks forum friends and here’s to another year of running. 🏃‍♀️🌷😊

Happy Runniversary! A whole year of running is an achievement in itself. It doesn't matter how far you go or how fast - it's all about getting out there and enjoying it, and it sounds like you do.

Here's to the next year of running! 🏃‍♀️

Thanks Tartancat! I’d like to set some goals but every time I do I get an injury 🤪. But still I have the goals in my head for now 😬

Happy, happy runniversary Catmo13!😀

You are not alone with not having the easiest of journeys /not getting to Parkrun & longer distances- that’s me too. - But I’ve decided that “run as you can” is so much better than not running at all. 😄

I hope you enjoy many happy runs in 2019.😃

Yes Elfe5! We have both done the programme twice if I remember your story rightly 🙃 glad I’m not alone and one day we may achieve our goals. 😊 Also in this forum we never run alone as always report back to each other 👍 thank you

Happy Runniversary CatMo🎉😊

I agree with the others...you are still running and therefore still winning!

Happy running in 2019😊xxx

Thank you Bluebird.. and for all the support you have given me 🤗I do get embarrassed by my short runs on Strava but I guess as everyone says it’s just getting out there that matters 😁

Please don't worry about that...I took ages to get to 5k, and had been running for about two years when I reached 10k with Ju Ju's plan. It really doesn't matter, everyone supports each other without comparison. You are keeping going, building strength despite your setbacks and doing brilliantly! 😊xxx

I started a year ago too. I did my first Park Run yesterday. We are still getting out there, and we haven't given up. Here's to another year of runs...however long or short they may be.

Hi CatMo, well done you, still running after a year, bet ya didn’t think that would happen a year ago. In the scheme of things parkruns and 10kms don’t really matter, running for pleasure and wow! cos we can and being able to share the runs with our forum friends because they get us. Isn’t it great? 👍

CatMo13 profile image
CatMo13Graduate in reply to lexi6

Thanks Lexi! And ironically I know Ive read some on here who can run more but they are not enjoying it. That’s just life, maybe they could swap legs with me for a week and their minds may change too 😂

well done for running for a whole year. Don't compare yourself with others but with yourself a year ago. I bet if you add all those runs together you will find yourself a long way away :)

Keep at it!

CatMo13Graduate in reply to Katnap

Tell me about aching knees! At least you’ve done a valid distance to earn that 😁 I did 2.5km and I’ve got aching knees 🙄.

I've jogged with someone who runs half marathons (loves them) and marathons. He said he always has aches and pains but they tend to go after 10-15 minutes running.

I think he could run every day.

CatMo13 profile image
CatMo13Graduate in reply to Katnap

I can relate to that yes, but then I find later in the day I have the aches. So now I’ve had four days off to recover my knee. So am thinking will try out a short run this morning. 🤞

I've just claimed today as my 2 month runniversary since graduating C25k. We had Kelly Holmes join us at our local parkrun!

Check out my post! 😸
