Runniversary!

I just ran a slow and steady 6k (my current regular distance) and realised it is a year ago today that I graduated :)

No great insights to offer but I never thought I would be a regular 3 (usually) times a week runner, that I would take my running gear with me whenever I go on holiday, that I would bore my poor husband to death with stats and stories about my exploits, that I would come to LOVE (usually) my runs, that I would be two jeans sizes down (no lighter though), that the dog would recognise my running gear, that I would have several pairs of trainers, that sweaty betty would be my favourite shop, that I would be up at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning...…

Just saying :)

Thank you very much. It’s making me tired to think about a whole other year running....I will just deal with next week!

Congratulations on your runniversary - you sound like the person I aspire to be ...the hubby bit achieved already. Haha.

in reply to Debell

Why thank you. Well if I wasn’t being boring about this, it would be something else!🙃

Really encouraging post, Helen - thanks. I can’t yet think beyond completing C25K but great to know others are still running😉

in reply to QueenTea

Thank you 😊 I would have said the same a year and 9 or so weeks ago! You will get there and then you just have to keep doing the same again! Good luck

Congratulations Helen!! This running business is a bit of a life-changer isn’t it? 😁

in reply to Decker

Thanks Decker, it certainly is! I sometimes feel I should be more aspirational in my running goals but I’m happy jogging about the place with my dog.😊

You don’t need to reach anyone’s goals but your own, and its working because you’ve got through an entire year of consistent running using your plan! Many more happy miles to you 😊

Two jeans sizes down! Way to go! :)

It is a rather nice side effect🏃🏾‍♀️

Congratulations and Happy Runniversary! 6 k is brilliant too!

I love that running has changed your life and I’m feeling inspired that you have made so many positive changes (impressed with your choice of clothes too!)which just goes to show how amazing this programme is.

Keep leading the way!

Thank you

Yes this programme is life changing indeed. Started for me when a friend (with whom I have a secretly competitive relationship) mentioned she had started C25K

That is such a lovely post, I love running with my dogs and they are waiting at the door as soon as they see me anywhere near my running gear. Im hoping to graduate by end of next week and hope that in one year from now I will be having a runniversary with your 2nd one

in reply to Jullaly

Let’s book the village hall for a party 🎈. My dog (also a Collie) starts barking at me when I appear in my running stuff!
