Well, another "can't believe I did it" post...but I did and it was probably the best run I've had, managed to keep the pace slow and kept my breathing under control....yay.

I do my Sunday runs with my sister and niece, both of them out pace me by a long way but are kind enough to keep turning round and running back. We do however have very different views on what constitutes a hill!

Today she took us on a different route, claiming there were no hills in sight....she lies! At least 3 times my breathing was good enough that I was able to yell at her in the distance that I could see a hill coming up! She still claims that they are just little inclines, my legs definitely disagreed!

But incline or hill, I made it! And I do quite enjoy having someone to complain at when it gets tough πŸ˜† and she does a lovely job of bullying me through to the end!

Quick question, I keep getting a stitch about 15 minutes in, anyone know why and the best way to prevent or shift it?

One trick for a stitch is to pull the tummy in whilst breathing out and push it out whilst breathing in, then after a few breaths do the exact opposite. Repeat as necessary.

Sounds like a plan, I'll try that next time, trying to work out what I do now and I think it might be the opposite but who knows, mostly I'm just glad to be breathing at all πŸ˜†

There's some good news ahead. Stitches happen less frequently the more running experience you get.
