Keeping at it

Well I’m a few weeks past graduating and still enjoying it. I’m now running the 5k albeit it slowly (around 40mins) which is more than I could manage when I graduated so I’m pleased and will keep at it. I imagine it will take quite a while to progress further. How’s everyone else doing...

Great that you're keeping going. 👍

I'd suggest you mix up the nature of your runs a little for variety.

When you feel ready add an extra few minutes (no more than 5 at this stage) to your run each week.

It’s good to hear that you’re still at it and improving. I just finished the program today and managed 4.4km in the 30 mins. I want to eventually get to 5km.

I’m kind of at 32-33 min running now. Struggling to get further. But hey at the beginning of Jan I struggled with the one minute bits!

It’s such an achievement isn’t it, 1 minute to over 30. I remember looking at the runs of 5 mins and thinking ‘no way!’ 😂

Graduated a month ago and like you still enjoying. I’m running 5K at an average of 35 minutes. I’m content with this time and realise that I’m not going to be able to shave much more time of this. I’m now looking at increasing my distance. Good luck..enjoy your running.

I'm finally feeling I've got into a groove, after 6 weeks consolidation. Enjoying mixing it up with distance, runs and music. No pressure but my own to improve if I'm in the mood to push a bit. Went to go for the short cut today to end 3km, but did a swerve and went for the 5km route as I knew I'd be annoyed at myself later. Time can be anything from 30-50mins depending on how I'm feeling and what nice doggos come over to say hello, I've even got to 6.5km once. Just keep embedding the habit 👍🏻🤗.
