Week 4 - fairly awesome!

Started c24k at end of Jan and finally at week 4 after loosing a few weeks to snow and repeating weeks because I couldn't find time every week.

Anyway, just completed week 4R1 and for the first time I found myself not counting down the minutes of the runs and just going for it (slowly!). Go into a week at a snails pace and build up as I get more confident...

Also tried a new route at the end of week 3 and found mixing things up really helped me focus on something other than the time but going back to my old route tonight still felt fresher.

Thought I'd drop this here as ideas for others and celebrate my success so far...!

I try not to look ahead because I probably would give up! Week 2 is my happy place, i keep telling myself if I get stuck and can't get to week 9 I'd be more than happy running shuttle at week 2 :)

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, hydration and strengthening exercises, all of which will help.

Enjoy your journey.
