Running with Hayfever

I've proudly made it way past week 3 (thanks for the encouragement) and have just returned from a successful week 7 run 1. While I was running I started thinking about running in the morning sunshine then quickly moved on to thinking about my summer curse.

Any tips from runners who suffer from bad Hayfever (even when medicated). I'm planning on investing in wraparound shades. Does anyone have any advice. Thanks in advance.

An off the wall idea, but the disposable surgical masks that are all the vogue at the moment can efficiently filter out pollen grains. The trick is to be aware that there will be pollen on the outer surface, and not to disturb it when adjusting or removing the mask.

Run early in the day, there is less pollen around.

Face mask or buff across mouth and nose.

Wrap round sports glasses are ideal.
