5 year Runiversary!

No running for 11 days due to being tired - all class back now so rather hectic settling back into routines - and picking up a bit of a cold. Also had COVID jab last weekend and definitely needed a lie in and the couch!

But today I really wanted to run to celebrate my 5th anniversary of completing Couch to 5k.

So glad I did 😊 Beautiful spring morning, sun out, dry underfoot, bit of a cooling breeze, birds chattering - just perfect 😀🐶🐾 Ran a slow, relaxing 5k along our usual route. Stopped to turn around, record the time, take off my jacket (warm sun), have a quick drink and take a photo. Then set off on the return journey. Thought I better try and speed up a little on the way back so I could record a reasonable time for (not) Park Run!

Thoroughly enjoyable run, just loved it 😀 - so glad I started Couch to 5k, and found HU. It is an amazing programme, transforming people’s lives and this forum has wonderful people who encourage, inspire and support. Thank you administrators and all those involved. I give you a massive 👏.

Yes, Squiggy loves running but also chasing 🐑 so Canicross is brilliant. He is a great running buddy and helps keep us fit. He does get chance to go off lead and chase squirrels 🐿 🐿 when safe 😊🐾🐶

Happy 5th runiversary! That’s quite something to still be running 5 years on 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I know what you mean about being back in school. I’m exhausted too 🥱😴. Easter hols soon for a bit of running and lots of rest 😊

Yes indeed, he LOVES to run!! I persuaded hubby to do C25K a couple of years ago so Squiggy goes with him too! (Or we go together 😊)

Yes, it was a lovely celebratory gentle jog - so glad I found the programme. I remember saying to hubby - how far is 5k from the house? He measured the distance in the car and when he explained where I needed to run to and back I said ‘I won’t be able to do that!!’.
