Yesterday, my new leggings arrived, ready for today. And I just completed my last Couch to 5K run, the zombie version. It was a 40 minute run, a bit longer than the previous run earlier this week.
And luckily the program doesn’t expect one to get to 5k, but rather completed it by running for 40 minutes. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, my new colourful half-length leggings felt cool, and the nettles and thistles were kept in check by my husband nifty work yesterday with a pair of shears. I am ever so thankful for his shear-ful walks.
So here I am, again, having finished another C25k journey.
What’s next? I think I’ll be doing some Nike audio-guided runs. There is an 8-week 5K plan, which is just about getting a faster 5K. And there is also a 4-week beginner plan, so I’m thinking of mixing both up a bit for the consolidation period.
Together they’ll have plenty of recovery runs and slow runs, but also some fartlek runs, interval training, and speed run. So it sounds like a lot of fun, and as long as I take it slow, it should be perfect for consolidation.
So happy running, everyone!
