Blimey..... had my 1st jab yesterday and today I feel like climbing the stairs is an achievement let alone thinking about a run! 😟 The rest of week 8 will have to wait a few days.... 🛌😴

Not a wise idea to run immediately after getting your Covid 19 vaccination, wait at least two days before continuing with run 2 of week 8, not long now until you graduate.
Thank you, sound advice. I didn’t think it would affect me like it has. I feel completely useless today! .... 🤷♀️
Hi, I think it’s most important to listen to your body and rest if you need to. You won’t lose a lot of condition for a few days and I’m sure you’ll feel much better for it! Good luck 🙂👍
Thank you! 🏃♀️
Hmmm. That happened to me too. You'll be fine soon. A few days not running won't hurt. Paracetamol and rest! 😊
I had my second 2 days ago, and ran today, it felt harder, and it was a bit slower, but oddly my HR was showing that it was less effort than it felt 😅Take an extra day and give it a try then.
I went through the same thing after my jab. Hope you feel better soon, it took me a few days to fully recover. Best of luck for the rest of C25K.👍
Thank you all, it’s reassuring to know it’s happened to others too. Paracetamols and rest it is for a few days ....
I am a slow runner and obviously slow to react to anything. It hit me 4 days after my jab. It only lasted 2 days. It might take you longer or shorter.
So many people are stating that they feel washed out the day after their jab so enjoy the enforced rest!!
👋Hope you're feeling less weary after some TLC. On another matter, your username makes me think you are no stranger to the coast! I'd like to know what it's like to run on the beach? Would you, for example avoid that surface (I'm thinking about a stretch of hard sand of course) and opt for an alternative? I like the idea but I wonder if it is more difficult, I just got to 30 minutes x3 weekly but don't want to hinder my progress, it was not without a struggle! 🙂
I run of the beach all the time and I love it. Hard sand at low tide is best but if there is less beach and I'm on softer sand/shingle I just run a bit slower. You get an extra work out form running on that surface.
Hi I have told my family that my wish this summer (I’m on wk 5) is to run along a beach! Think it sounds idyllic!
