Seeing as I have spent most of my time in the UK in the last year, I have been able to "run through" all my half knackered shoes...
This is just about all the shoes I have ever owned, 3 x Mizunos, 3 x Brooks Ravenna, 1 x New Balance...
Underneath are my new babies - Nike Zooms, and Saucony Omni...

To be honest, I forgot to take them...do you know what they do with them? I'd like them to go somewhere useful, some shops send them to Third World Countries, some go to homeless people...I need to get rid of them, I'm already thinking maybe I could squeeze a bit more out of these ones or those...

I think they go to others if they can, otherwise are recycled, I ended up putting mine in the shoe recycle bin at Tesco when we went shopping one day, we have got a recycle bin in the village too, I didn’t want them to go to landfill....

Ha ha, the lad in the shop told me he runs 100 KM a week, yes you read that right, and buys 9 pairs of shoes at a time!
That’s a good old collection! I need to delve through my cupboards, I’m sure I have quite a few of old pairs of trainers lurking 😀.
I'm quite sentimental about them, those are the ones I ran in Spain in, those are my HM shoes etc etc , and of curse, they cost a fortune!
Someone my way has been collecting old trainers for charity, I'll see if the details are still online.

Aargh, the scheme I was thinking of has finished, but Runners need are doing a Recycle my run thing, where they send you a £20 voucher if you send them proof of you recycling a pair of trainers. It's a shame there isn't a better way of getting them to people who could make good use of them.
